Microsoft understands this and in order to help our partners reach their customer goals, if you are a Microsoft Solution Partner or have Specialization, Expert or Action Pack competencies, you will have access to a Technical Presales & Deployment team of consultants that will assist you in building your technical capabilities faster to accelerate sales, deployments and app development for your future projects.

By leveraging your Partner Cloud Partner benefits you will be able to engage with our Partner Technical Consultants and have personalized one-to-one technical consultations to help you Planning, Building, Selling and Growing you business.

As part of your benefits status you will have access to a number of Advisory and Technical sales preparation & deal enablement hours you can use during the contract year.

As a Solution Partner you will have access to 50 partner advisory hours and unlimited Technical sales preparation & deal enablement assistance.

As a Specialization and Expert Partner you will have access to 50 partner advisory hours and unlimited Technical sales preparation & deal enablement assistance.

As a Action Pack Partner you will have 5 partner advisory hours for presales and deployment scenarios.

The Technical Consultations provided by Technical Presales & Deployment team are divided in 4 consultation type areas:

  • Plan & Engage
    1. Plan your business with Microsoft:
      1. Evaluate current skills within your organization.
      2. Create a plan to develop or grow your services or applications.
      3. Guidance to translate vision and goals into high-level technical architecture.
      4. Guidance to move your app from another cloud service or on-premises environment to Azure
  • Build Solutions
    1. Build a service or application:
      1. Overview and value proposition of available products and scenarios.
      2. Architecture design guidance and reviews.
      3. Best practices & patterns.
      4. Adapting solutions to industry scenarios.
      5. Guidance on determining appropriate storefront and right offer type.
      6. Guidance on publishing app on Marketplace.
      7. Guidance on integrating with billing and fulfilment APIs (for transactable offers).
      8. Design guidance to build a well-architected app.
      9. Assistance with application coding focused on technical knowledge transfer.
      10. Deployment best practices.
      11. Guidance to integrate your app with Microsoft Teams, Azure AD, Partner Center API, Microsoft Graph, Azure Resource Manager API.
  • Seller Support
    1. Technical assistance for sellers:
      1. Demo and proof of concept resources and customization guidance.
      2. Defined value proposition.
      3. Technical licensing Q&A.
      4. Customer objection management.
      5. Competitive discussion guidance.

  • Visit http://aka.ms/TPD
    1. Select ‘Create a new TPD request’ towards the top of the page, or log into your Partner Center dashboard and select the Benefits tile > Technical benefits. Both options require you to use your Microsoft Cloud Partner Program associated account.
  • Select ‘Submit technical presales and deployment request.’
  • You will be taken to the request form in Partner Center and will need to complete the following details:
    1. Enter a title and the description of the scenario (provide as much detail as possible)
    2. Use Search Product and enter the relevant product for your scenario (Solution Area will auto-populate once a product is selected)
    3. Complete/review the contact information
  • Select “Submit request”

After the request is open you will be contacted by a Microsoft Partner Technical Consultant to set up a call to scope your needs.
