We hope you are having a wonderful start to WPC 2016! It’s been a great two days with you all and we are looking forward to getting even more business done (and continuing to have fun) over the next few days here in Toronto.
It’s hard to see and do it all at WPC, so in case you missed anything, here’s a quick recap of what happened at WPC today, and insight on what you can look forward to tonight and tomorrow:
Kicking off WPC 2016 in style
Yesterday, many partners joining us for the first time kicked off their week in Toronto with our orientation session “How to make the most of WPC” where they heard from long-time attendees about how to maximize their opportunities while at WPC by using their time and the event tools efficiently. It’s a session that perfectly embodies the spirit of WPC: Microsoft and partners working together to get ahead.
Then, we officially kicked off the event with our Welcome Reception, which started WPC in an energetic fashion. The Commons buzzed with partners eager to meet together for the first time or reunite with long-time friends and colleagues. In case you missed the announcement at the Community Hub, we revealed the location of WPC 2017: Washington D.C. You can register online now for the best price of US$1,595, valid through July 18 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
Monday’s Vision Keynotes
Today you heard Satya Nadella talk about how Microsoft, together with partners around the world, is empowering digital transformation to ignite growth, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s coming next.
If you missed the keynote, be sure to tune in tomorrow to watch the vision keynotes on demand—they’ll be posted 24 hours after the keynotes conclude. And be sure to join us in the morning at 8:40 AM Eastern Time for tomorrow’s keynotes at the Air Canada Centre or, if you’re not with us in Toronto, watch the livestream online.
The launch of WPC Women breakout sessions
Earlier today, we kicked off the first of several sessions and events that are part of the new WPC Women program. Springing out of the amazing work done by the IAMCP’s Women in Technology (WIT), WPC Women seeks to facilitate greater partnership and collaboration across our diverse partner communities while helping participants make the most of their face-to-face time at WPC. You won’t want to miss these! Pro tip: download the WPC Mobile app and add your must-see sessions to your calendar now to stay organized.
Strengthen partner-to-partner relationships
Many attendees tell us that the main reason they come to WPC is for the opportunity to network, do business with and learn from such a diverse group of innovative and engaged Microsoft partners. If your goals are similar, you’ll want to make sure you’re not missing our partner-to-partner (P2P) sessions. In these sessions, you’ll get valuable insight into how to increase the value of your P2P outreach, including actionable plans you can follow, like the P2P Maturity Model.
Watch this short video from Senior Director, Partner Marketing, Kati Quigley, on how our sessions at WPC are built to help you navigate the partner ecosystem and create lasting partnerships.
Another major reason partners come to WPC is for advice and analysis on how to differentiate offerings to stand out from the competition. To help you do this, the Digital Transformation sessions seek to help partners modernize, deliver greater customer value, increase employee productivity, and market more effectively to your desired audiences. I highly recommend adding a few of these sessions to your calendar as well.
The Commons Happy Hour
If you’re at the event, please join us for The Commons Happy Hour from 5:00-6:00 PM. Light snacks and refreshments are provided for you during this time to network informally and explore the booths of sponsors and exhibitors. Happening at the same time in The Commons Community Hub is the WPC Women Happy Hour. We hope to see you all there!
Be sure to arrive early to Commons Theater sessions
We’re ecstatic that so many of you are interested in the broad range of sessions that WPC offers. Due to the very high popularity of our Commons Theater sessions, we recommend you arrive early to secure a spot. As an alternative, please consider checking the WPC Session Scheduler for nearby sessions that may be of interest to you. If you miss a theater session you wanted to attend, visit the corresponding booth in The Commons where you can find subject matter experts to help answer your questions.
If you aren’t able to join us in Toronto this year, be sure to check out the on-demand sessions to hear all of the exciting announcements, news and conversations.
For a full schedule of what you can expect to see at WPC tomorrow, be sure to download the WPC Mobile app and check out the WPC 2016 session catalog. Plus, be sure to join the conversation by tweeting to @msPartner with #WPC16 all conference long!
