I’m so excited to welcome you to Toronto for the 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference!

We have an amazing lineup of speakers for you to hear, sessions and events for you to attend, and spaces for you to explore. This year, WPC has a record number of attendees—selling out last week for the first time ever—which means you have even more opportunity to make great connections and build your business.

To make your WPC as productive, informative, and fun as it can be, here are a few last-minute tips and reminders:

Grab your badge and head to the convention center

For those of you arriving today, remember that you can pick up your badge at our airport registration kiosks, available at Toronto Pearson International Airport at Terminals 1 and 3. You can also pick up your badge at the convention center.

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way into downtown Toronto from Toronto Pearson International Airport, consider taking the UP Express train to Union Station—it’s free when you show this confirmation letter to a Guest Service Representative before boarding the train. It only takes 25 minutes and takes you right to the center of the city.

Then, be sure to join us for the WPC 2016 Welcome Reception from 5:00-7:00 PM Eastern Time in The Commons at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). Network with our sponsors and exhibitors, check out our customer stories, meet with Microsoft product experts and more! Also, visit the Community Hub at 5:30 PM to be the first ones to hear about where WPC 2017 will be located.

Download the WPC 2016 mobile app

If you haven’t done so already, download the WPC 2016 Mobile app. It’s a great way to stay on top of all the meetings and sessions you’ve scheduled, plus find your way around with the conference maps. Remember, when you get to the MTCC, the Wi-Fi network is MSFTWIFI, password Microsoft.

Join the WPC conversation

WPC moves fast, and there’s a lot to keep track of—that’s why we’re providing several channels to keep you informed.

Daily emails

You’ll be receiving an email each evening with summaries of the day’s major announcements and other important information, so keep an eye out for those. They’ll go to the email address you used to register for the conference.

Have fun

You can get a lot of business done at WPC, but be sure to save time and energy for the fun stuff, too. Not only do we have a star-studded lineup of entertainment for the Partner Celebration on Wednesday, there are Happy Hours, ancillary events, and networking lounges in the Community Hub for making great connections in a less formal setting. And one might even say the best business gets done with an hors d’oeuvre in hand…

The 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference is all about you, and we want to do everything we can to show our appreciation of this amazing partner community. You can always let us know how your event is going through the evaluations on WPC Connect and the mobile app, or by tweeting to @msPartner using #WPC16.

I look forward to seeing you at the Welcome Reception tonight!
