I’m happy to start the week by reporting another important WPG resource open for business: online registration for WPC 2012.

The year’s biggest networking event for Microsoft partners comes up in Toronto July 8-12. Find out more about registration opening tomorrow at http://www.digitalwpc.com/Registration/ . Tomorrow we’ll be opening four weeks earlier than last year. And I don’t think there’s any reason to wait. Now  through April 5, confirm your attendance and save US$300 off the WPC 2012 All-Access Event Pass.

As an added incentive to jump now, our first 100 registrants not only get the early-bird discount, but automatic entry into a sweepstakes to have their fee refunded.

Updated error about our sweepstakes 2/27/12  5:45 PM PST: To build excitement about WPC, prior to registration opening, we held a sweepstakes through MPN Live a few weeks ago; later this week we will announce the three sweepstakes winners.

As I’ve already written here, I’m personally excited by the plans in place for WPC 2012 as well as the setting, the cosmopolitan city of Toronto. The WPC Business Owner team has been laboring for months to make this the most exceptional WPC yet. When you come you’ll not only get an insider’s view of Microsoft vision and strategy – you’ll have ample opportunities to establish connections and relationships to build your business

One partner after another tells me WPC is the one annual event they feel they can’t afford to miss.

So I hope you will make plans now to join us. We’re planning for 13,000 partners from 150 countries. 250 Microsoft executives will be there, me among them. I’ll be hosting new episodes of MPN Live, our online video roundtable for Microsoft partners, from Toronto all week. And we expect WPC 2012 will generate up to 2,000 media stories – coverage your customers will notice.

25,000 networking meetings are expected to take place. There will be keynotes from Microsoft executives and more than 250 breakout sessions. Something at WPC 2012 – a new partner connection, a sit-down with a Microsoft executive, a look at new Microsoft technology in our Solution Innovation Center – is bound to hold the potential to transform your business.

Yes, July 8 is more than four months off. But it pays to plan early for international travel. Take it from me – I’m in the air much of the time myself, as connecting with partners worldwide is part of my job, and it doesn’t pay to delay the purchase of long-distance air tickets. July is peak travel season and the airlines aren’t likely to hold last-minute sales. So book now for best fares and routes. Visit www.bing.com/travel to search flights to Toronto. Our team has compiled some passport and Canadian visa information here for those who need it.

Your WPC team has also negotiated preferred rates with a variety of Toronto hotels. Review your lodging options here. Just make your reservations when you register.

I invite you to be among the first to register for WPC 2012. Go to http://www.digitalwpc.com/Registration/  and I think you’ll find the process quick and easy.

I’ll see you in Toronto!
