According to Microsoft market research, 78 percent of the Fortune 500 companies are SharePoint users. In 2009, SharePoint was a US$1.3 billion business with more than 100 million users, and it continues to grow. Every day for the past five years, 20,000 workers have joined the ranks of SharePoint users. One in every five knowledge workers now has access to SharePoint.

Additionally, Microsoft offers an expansive SharePoint partner program. I can attest to the value it has provided my company, Innovative-e, having a Gold Portals and Collaboration partner competency and being a Business-Critical SharePoint partner.
As a Microsoft partner, now is the time to get involved and be a part of this amazing ecosystem. There’s no better way to celebrate SharePoint but to attend the upcoming SharePoint Conference from November 11 to 15, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Here are five top reasons why Microsoft partners can’t afford to miss this phenomenal event:
1.  Learn All About SharePoint. At the conference, you will find more than 300 educational sessions spanning multiple tracks, a range of experience levels, and hands-on labs.
These sessions cover SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013 and are presented by the best and brightest in the SharePoint ecosystem: members of the Microsoft team, SharePoint partners, MVPs, customers, and other industry thought leaders. As a partner, you will walk away from the SharePoint Conference with greater knowledge of how to maximize SharePoint for real, measurable results that can greatly benefit your customers. You’ll find a list of the planned sessions here.  I’m very honored to be presenting the following sessions at the conference:
  • Lead the Enterprise Social Revolution: 5 Steps to Drive Culture Change

    November 13, 2012

    9:00am-10:15 am

  • Fast Track Your Project Management Office with Project Online

    3:15pm-4:30 pm

    Islander Ballroom IED

  • Business Critical SharePoint Presentation: 3 Ways to Transform Project Management Chaos into Success

    Wed, November 14, 2012

    Expo Hall, BCSP Theater

2.  Meet Customers. Did you know that there will be more than 10,000 people attending SharePoint Conference? It’s a great way to meet potential customers and network with other Microsoft partners for joint opportunities.
3.  Participate in Pre & Post Conference Trainings. Apart from the abundant sessions the conference has to offer, opportunities for deeper training are available before and after the conference. Here are the pre- & post-conference trainings that are available.
4.  Engage with the Community. The SharePoint community is like no other. It’s such an amazing, vibrant and talented group of people around the world that make up the essence of the SharePoint ecosystem. Make sure you connect with the SharePoint community on Twitter, Yammer, LinkedIn, SharePoint User Groups and SharePoint Saturdays.
As a partner, there’s no better way to keep your finger on the pulse of the community than to meet with colleagues and peers at the conference. There will be ample opportunities to rub elbows and exchange ideas with community leaders, members and other key players in SharePoint community, starting with the official welcome reception on Sunday night, at the SharePoint Community Hub and continuing throughout the conference
5.  Bon Jovi. Tuesday evening event, November 13. Be there. Enough said.
Make sure you adequately plan and prepare for the conference. Here’s a great blog post on how you can plan for your SharePoint Conference activities by SharePoint community leader, Joel Oleson.
So are you excited? I am.  I look forward to seeing you in Vegas in two weeks. Hit me up on Twitter if you have any questions!
