Hello Partners!

What do you think it takes to have effective leadership? Want to share your advice and insights with the partner community? Want the chance to win a free all-access pass to WPC 2014 and meet the 2014 Partner Celebration entertainment just by sharing your thoughts in a short video?

If you are passionate about leadership, then you’ll be excited to hear about the new video contest we’re launching on WPC Connect today.

To enter the contest, you need only join WPC Connect, and then create a 30-second to three-minute video that answers the question, “What does leadership mean to you, and how does it manifest in your company?” Upload that video to YouTube and click here to submit it into the contest on WPC Connect! It’s easy to participate.

This contest runs from 12:01 a.m. PT today, June 12, through 11:59 p.m. PT on July 1 with two additional days for voting, which ends July 3.

Corporate Vice President Phil Sorgen shares his thoughts on leadership

The prize for this contest consists of one (1) free all-access pass to WPC 2014, as well as two (2) reserved front row seats at the Leadership Track Keynote for yourself and one other individual—and on top of that you’ll also receive two (2) VIP Meet & Greet Experiences with the WPC 2014 entertainment!

Here’s how to win:

After the conclusion of the contest, there will be two additional days for voting, ending at 11:59 p.m. on July 3; however, you can vote for your favorite videos at any time. That’s right: your fellow partners get to choose who wins! Even if you’re not interested in creating a video of your own, you can still vote for the best entry at any point throughout the contest period provided you have joined WPC Connect. Please note, however, that you are limited to one entry per contest and one vote per video, but you can vote for multiple videos any time during the voting period.

Once the final votes have been tallied, we will announce the winners on WPC Connect and through our WPC and MPN social media channels.

Not sure how exactly to judge the videos? We created the following criteria to help you determine which entry best deserves the prize:
  • Relevancy: How relevant is the content to the question or prompt of the video contest? Judging criteria on relevancy should be 30% of the consideration.

  • Value: What educational, entertainment or professional value do you get from the video? How does this value compare to or stand out against other entries? Judging criteria on value should be 40% of the consideration.

  • Creativity: How creatively does the video address the question or prompt of the contest? Does it present information in a unique and compelling way? Judging criteria on creativity should be 30% of the consideration.
You can find the full rules and regulations for the contest below—and don’t forget: you can still register for the conference if you haven’t already. We can’t wait to welcome you to WPC 2014!

Best,
Kati
