It’s an exciting time to be part of Microsoft’s One Commercial Partner organization, specifically working with the world’s premier global system integrators (GSIs) and advisory partners. Our dedicated team has the privilege of working with industry-leading GSIs to accelerate technology innovation around the globe, driving growth and business impact for our partners, and enabling our customers’ journey to the cloud.

Coming from my previous role as president of Microsoft Japan, I’m honored to lead the GSI team. In fiscal year 2019, our GSI portfolio drove thousands of engagements with enterprise customers – and we have ambitions to accelerate our impact in fiscal year 2020. I’m looking forward to continuing our team’s efforts to develop the GSI partner services ecosystem and provide outstanding support to our customers. Our goal is to build and grow the GSI services business by empowering customers to achieve more with game-changing cloud and AI solutions that enable digital transformation.

End-to-end partnership

In announcing my appointment on July 3, Gavriella Schuster, corporate vice president, One Commercial Partner, reinforced that GSIs are our most strategic partners with whom we foster a deep, end-to-end relationship. This means we collaborate on all aspects of the alliance – engaging with our customers, jointly developing practices and services, and partnering on sales strategy and execution.

As our largest GSI, Accenture-Avanade offers a good example of empowering customers to capitalize on the digital transformation opportunity, having received two of our highest Microsoft awards: Digital Transformation Partner of the Year and Internet of Things Partner of the Year. One of the most impactful GSI projects of FY19 allowed Accenture-Avanade to help the Carlsberg Group fully embrace the cloud by migrating its datacenters, applications and full SAP estate to Microsoft Azure for optimized scalability, agility and flexibility. In addition to enabling customers to thrive in the era of digital disruption, we’re delighted that Accenture-Avanade is the Global Diamond Sponsor of Microsoft Envision | The Tour, which kicked off Oct. 22 in San Francisco with a 2-minute video showcase.
