WPC is almost here. As we reach the final days before the event, we’re spotlighting five Country Partner of the Year award winners who’ll be attending this year.

Spikes: Microsoft Gold Partner, Antwerp, Belgium

This year, three people from our company, Spikes, will be attending WPC. Each of us has our own reasons for wanting to attend, but it mostly comes down to three main reasons why we’ve decided to invest in this event.

The first reason, it’s the ideal environment to network with other partners and with Microsoft employees. We’re big believers in the power of partnership. A major way in which we differentiate ourselves from our competitors is by partnering with other Microsoft partners, allowing each partner to concentrate on their expertise and skills to offer a broad range of services to customers. We recently partnered with Computacenter, a Microsoft Partner for licensing and devices; and with T-Bench, a Microsoft Partner for hybrid cloud services. This partnership went so well that it eventually led to the merging of our companies to better serve our customers.

The second reason we attend is that WPC gives us insights into Microsoft’s vision and products. This is important because, working together with Microsoft support, we can better inform prospects about why Microsoft technologies are the best choice. To do this, we must meet two criteria: we must convince the CIOs that we have the right tools and resources for the job, and we must convince the business that investing in Microsoft technology results in solutions that their employees will be happy to use, and which will deliver a business benefit. To do this, we rely on our vision and offering for hybrid cloud solutions—which we include in every proposal—and an implementation approach that’s focused on business vision and user adoption.

And finally, the third reason is Microsoft’s announcements at WPC, and the opportunity to discuss them with Microsoft representatives and other partners. This helps us align our vision and prepare our business plan for the new fiscal year, together with our Partner Sales Executive. Microsoft’s continuing technological evolution challenges us to stay on top of that technology, and to adapt our business model to serve our customers in the best possible way. Since we started managing our relationship with Microsoft more closely, aligning our targets and vision with Microsoft’s, this relationship created—and still creates today—more opportunities to grow.

This is an event that our company has attended before, and will continue to attend for all of the value it brings to our business. We’ll see you in Washington, D.C. at WPC.
