Maintaining our joint customers’ privacy is important to Microsoft and to partners. In a blog post yesterday by Brad Smith, he shared that the European Union’s data protection authorities have found that Microsoft’s enterprise cloud contracts meet the high standards of EU privacy law.
That means our customers can use MS services to move data freely through our cloud from Europe to the rest of the world. This recognition applies to Microsoft’s enterprise cloud services – in particular, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Windows Intune.
Cloud is a trust business. Microsoft is the only company that has been given this validation by EU authorities. Our enterprise customers worldwide, and particularly those with European operations, now have a level of cloud trust and verification that only Microsoft can deliver. We’ve effectively set a new bar, and that’s great news for our joint customers and the partners who sell Microsoft cloud services.
We are committed to your success in the cloud. This announcement is another way we are delivering on that promise.
