Every day, I think about how we can provide new opportunities to help our partners grow their businesses. In order to advise customers effectively, you need to be aware of key technology areas that Microsoft is investing in. We are committed to providing as much transparency as possible around upcoming releases across our commercial business. In that spirit, I want to make sure you’re aware of a few exciting developments regarding the roadmap sites for Microsoft’s Cloud Platform and Office businesses.

Last week, Takeshi Numoto announced the availability of the Cloud Platform Roadmap site that spans cloud services like Microsoft Azure, Intune, Power BI, and Visual Studio Online; server offerings such as Windows Server, System Center, SQL Server and Visual Studio; and converged system appliance offerings such as Cloud Platform System, Analytics Platform System and StorSimple.

We are hopeful that the new Cloud Platform Roadmap site will provide our partners with a comprehensive view and simplify access to our roadmap, including where we are focusing some of our development efforts and what technology is currently in development and coming within the next few months. With this view, partners will be able to help customers understand and plan for what’s coming next. In addition, it will be easy to find newly available products and services, including those in public preview, in order to take full advantage of our expanding portfolio.

The Office 365 for business roadmap launched in June 2014 to provide greater visibility into forthcoming service updates. We’ve received great feedback from customers and partners, and in just the last few weeks, we’ve implemented some exciting new site enhancements based on partner input, including search, a mobile experience, First Release tags and social sharing.

Just as we’ve accelerated our development processes in this fast-moving mobile-first, cloud-first world, we are also transforming our communications processes regarding what’s next for our products and services. Maintaining roadmap sites are a significant step on that journey. As these sites continue to grow and mature, we’ll look forward to your ongoing feedback on what is working and where we can improve, to ensure these resources are a valuable asset for your business.

Enjoy the new Cloud Platform Roadmap site and O365 roadmap site enhancements, as you navigate the road ahead to cloud transformation!
