Modern Workplace: Packing More Partner Value into Microsoft 365
The modern workplace is a critical part of the digital transformation vision Microsoft has for our partners. We are constantly making it easier for you to translate the needs of customers into innovative modern workplace solutions. As we start 2019, I want to share some of our recent investments across all areas of Microsoft 365 that will open new value for partners and benefits for customers. I hope you’ll leverage the offerings below to build and accelerate your own Modern Workplace practice.
Empower Employees with Secure and Compliant Services
Your customers have made it clear: moving to a modern workplace requires assurance that IT can maintain its security and compliance obligations. In an age of mobile-connected workforces, sophisticated cybersecurity threats, and complex regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ability to reduce risk while enabling workforce transformation is a key driver of Microsoft 365 adoption.
In fact, Forrester has identified a partner opportunity with Microsoft 365 can yield upwards of $19 per user, per month in recurring revenue for security and compliance solutions. To accelerate a modern workplace security and compliance practice, I’m excited to introduce two new security and compliance offerings that will allow partners to deliver the true value proposition of all their services, wrapped around security and compliance.
New advanced security and compliance offerings
Two key offers available February 1st
· Identity & Threat Protection—This new packaging brings together security across Office 365, Windows 10, and EMS in a single offering.
· Information Protection & Compliance—Designed to compliance decision makers ongoing risk assessments with a compliance score across Microsoft Cloud services.
Partner Opportunity with Microsoft Teams
Helping your customers harness the power of teamwork is another major opportunity for partners within Microsoft 365. Microsoft Teams was launched just two years ago and is already being used by more than 329,000 organizations in 44 languages around the world. And with new extensibility capabilities recently added, partners are now developing business solutions on the Microsoft Teams platform to differentiate themselves and increase their profitability with repeatable IP.
One partner solution—a workplace accelerator to Teams—integrates new work streams for the customer and customizes the interface for specific business cases. The partner licenses the solution for $60,000, with ongoing maintenance and support service charges added!
I encourage you to start using Teams so you can understand the platform and build custom teamwork solutions for your customers. To help you get started, be sure to participate in the Teams solution development bootcamps and join the Teamwork Solution Accelerator campaign, to start building your custom solution practice today.
Leave no Customer Behind with Modern Desktop
This is the year we must all work together to transition customers to Windows 10 and Office 365 ProPlus so no customer is left behind. With end of support for Windows 7 and Office 2010 coming next year, our worldwide field sales team is being asked to ensure customers are making the transition. We’re looking to you, our trusted partners, to help customers prepare and deploy the modern desktop across their organizations.
The transition creates a tremendous opportunity for partners. A recent Forrester study found that partners can earn up to $24 per user per month on services related to the modern desktop. This represents a $100 billion partner opportunity over a three-year period. Now is the time to talk to customers about moving to Windows 10 and Office 365 ProPlus.
