After a much anticipated wait since the Worldwide Partner Conference last year, we are excited to announce the launch and availability of Office 365 Open and FPP to our Office 365 subscription lineup available today.

I’d like to emphasize the benefits of this selling model for partners:

  • You capture top-line revenue and margin on the resale
  • You earn partner incentives (rebates and co-op funding)
  • You sell and service customers in a familiar business model
  • You own the billing process with your customers

As noted by Jon Roskill last week in his blog, you can start taking advantage of the launch with three simple actions:

  1. Use it! Sign-up for Cloud Essentials and get 25 seats of Office 365 to deploy internally and access to delegated administration to better manage your customers. Use the cloud to sell the cloud!
  2. Promote it! Use our Office 365 Best Campaign and syndication assets to drive demand and trial.
  3. Sell it! Familiarize yourself with the new Office 365 Open & FPP sales process to sell as a standalone solution or bundled with your own products and services.

I’d also like to highlight that Windows Intune now includes an Office 365 connector, which provides greater efficiencies for customers and partners using both services to keep users and their devices productive and up-to-date wherever they are. Read more here.

We are committed to our partners and growing together in the cloud so I hope that you will take the time to learn how this new licensing option can help create a profitable business model to help attract and service new customers.

I look forward to an exciting 2013 and can’t wait to talk to many of you at the Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston to hear about how you are incorporating Office 365 Open and FPP into your business model.
