For Microsoft Partner Incentives, our goal is to connect incentives to the sales motion of our partners and their sellers.  We want to unlock the full potential of the billions of dollars we invest into our partner ecosystem, and continue to improve both our field sales and partner experiences.  We currently have a strong portfolio of incentives across Enterprise, Solution Incentives, Online, SMB and SAM, and we are always evaluating new and innovative ways to drive more value with our partners. 

 
Moving forward, we are focused on delivering incentives that drive profitability and growth, provide ease of use in engaging with us, and deliver predictability and stability to our partners.  One key area of focus in H2 is a refresh of our Solution Incentives, which are designed to reward partners who build and grow solution sales practices with Microsoft.
 
We are planning this refresh to bring tangible, impactful improvements to our partners.  In early January we will begin working with you to help you better understand and absorb the set of changes we will deliver, including:
  • An enhanced calculation engine to provide detailed reconciliation information for Solution Incentives
  • Delivery of our partner BI platform – giving end-to-end visibility on incentive progress from registration to payments
  • Simplified submission process that emphasizes Proof of Execution, but eliminates the need for sales stage updates
  • Product and rate updates that align to critical workload sales opportunities  
  • Consistent Global Support Model focused on on-time quality resolution
 We will begin implementing these changes in phases starting in February, 2013.  We have prioritized these improvements based on your feedback, comments and suggestions.  I’d also like to thank those of you who were able to engage with us as we have developed these improvements, such as participation in our Partner BI Preview.  Your ongoing feedback is invaluable across our full portfolio of incentives.
