When I hear people talk about building a presence on Facebook for their B2B efforts, I always scratch my head. Don’t get me wrong: as the community manager for MPN I can tell you that we do have a Facebook page  –  well, we actually have two! But what we do there is very different than what we might do on Twitter or here on Digital WPC.

So I’m here to help put the word out that LinkedIn is good for business, because in B2B it’s all about who you know and who you are professionally – and this is where you can let that shine.
Since I like infographics, I thought I’d include this interesting one that helps to illustrate: “The Value of Being LinkedIn.”
Now are you interested? Well, you’re coming to WPC and it’s all about business, right? So come find out more about LinkedIn for YOUR business by joining me at a LinkedIn session I’m conducting with Microsoft Partner Dux Raymond, Innovative-e – it’s slated for Thursday afternoon (one more reason to stick around in Toronto).
The details:
Social media will keep dominating business conversations, and there is a huge opportunity for partners to use LinkedIn to create business leads through building reputation and merchandizing both your business and professional brand.

In this session you will:
  • Look at how you can build out your professional profile page.
  • Use groups and questions to build your thought leadership.
  • Gain an understanding of how business pages can help to market your business.
  • Find out about the etiquette of endorsements.
  • Get a brief overview of premium accounts and small-scale media buys, which include ads and Inmail.
  • By the end you’ll gain the initial building blocks to optimize your profile page and business page on LinkedIn.
Now I like giveaways, and as many of you are regular viewers of MPN Live you’ll know that I gave away WPC passes – and more recently a Nokia Lumia 900 (congrats to Jamie Timbre who will be sporting his new device in Toronto). But I am working on finalizing a special giveaway with LinkedIn, so I’ll be posting that once I get the final details from them! So… what does that mean? Come to this session. We’re nearing capacity but I have room for you!
See you then.
