Coming up on April 4–8, Microsoft’s Business Applications Cloud Week for Partners is designed to provide partners with the skills needed to grow their expertise and influence—both within their own organizations and with their customers—through a virtual learning event centered on Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 and Power Platform products.

The event will equip partners with the knowledge they need to pursue certifications that demonstrate gained expertise. What’s more, partners who complete all five days of a technical track will be eligible for a free exam voucher to allow them to turn their new skills into a professional certification.

Exclusive to Microsoft partners, the event provides a modular five-day virtual training experience through a choice of instructor-led courses, labs, and live and offline Q&A during the hours which best fit into busy schedules.

This Cloud Week will teach product fundamentals in addition to more advanced learning topics needed to engage with different functional areas, from sales and marketing to customer and field service, and some of Microsoft’s own sales techniques. Partners who have attended a previous Business Applications Cloud Week will not want to miss the opportunity to expand their skills by joining the newly added learning tracks.

Combine the power of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform for a 360-degree customer view

The fundamentals courses offer an overview of each platform’s features, giving participants a solid foundation to address common customers questions. The Power Platform training covers the topics for exam PL-900, while the Dynamics 365 training focuses on both customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP), preparing attendees for the respective certification exams of MB-910 and MB-920.

This Business Applications Cloud Week for Partners is set to bring real insight, design, and solution ideas to the 360-customer view challenge which so many companies face. The addition of Dynamics 365 sales and marketing functional tracks and Power Platform data analyst and app maker courses to April’s event will help attendees better tackle the 360-degree customer view challenge, which has been identified as one of the top issues Microsoft’s customers are currently solving. Partners who send multiple participants to these different training tracks will be in an a particularly strong position to provide holistic support and expertise to their customers.

A stepping stone to certification

Business Applications Cloud Week for Partners provides an opportunity for participants to prepare for certification, a highly-regarded demonstration of subject matter expertise which leads to greater professional influence, energizing careers, and new possibilities.

A Microsoft Certification can validate that you have the skills organizations are looking for when advancing employees. Plus, Microsoft keeps certifications up to date based on market and industry demands. Certifications also influence earning potential, according to the results of the 2020–2021 Microsoft Dynamics Salary Survey from Nigel Frank, and provide the self-confidence often needed for a career boost.

Sheryl Netley, a mid-career IT service manager from Hereford, England, is a perfect case in point. As Business Apps GTM Nancy Tandy writes, Sheryl realized many employers are looking for a specific set of Microsoft Certifications, and she was able to land a new job after just a month of learning. She considers certification a key to her success, so much so that she now has over 30 of them, all centered around Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.

Whether you’re someone who has been in your role for a while and are looking to advance further, or you’re completely new and looking to stand out, think about certification not only as a path to boost your career opportunities, but also as something giving you the expertise which leads to better leadership and greater influence with your customers—whether internal or external.

In recognition of the importance of certification, and to support Cloud Week participants who wish to pursue it, everyone who attends the event will receive a completion badge for their professional profiles for each track they complete. As mentioned above, partners who complete all five days of a technical track will also be eligible for a free exam voucher to make it easier to turn their new skills into a professional certification.

Grow your expertise and influence with customers

April’s Business Applications Cloud Week includes a course for sales and pre-sales consultants based on Microsoft’s Partner Sales Acceleration Program, which explores the emotional side of selling and shows participants how to navigate the six “moments that matter” conversations. By taking the same training Microsoft’s own sales teams receive, they can improve their core sales skills and be better able to sell Business Applications to and influence decision makers, learning how to lead impactful, successful sales conversations with customers.

Beyond the sales-specific track, it’s recommended sales professionals also take the fundamentals courses, which will help them learn more about Microsoft’s Dynamics and Power Platform products, and what Microsoft has to offer to help solve different customer challenges.
