How do you learn best?

If you don’t know, you may want to take some time to investigate what works best for you, as well as how modern technology and science are changing the way we approach learning.

Recent studies have shown that traditional styles (e.g. kinesthetic, auditory, visual) are actually not the best ways to retain what you’ve “learned.” Instead, efficient learning is tied most closely to novelty, social engagement, and individual preference. At WPC 2016, we’ve designed our content learning experience around these principles.

This year, we’ve shifted away from a track structure to focus more on our five shared priorities: profitability, transformation, differentiation, collaboration, and leadership. This not only better suits our partner-first mentality, it ensures you are connected with the knowledge that matters most to you and your business.

To accommodate the diversified types of learning experiences, we offer a variety of session types. Start exploring the sessions we have available today in our newly launched WPC 2016 Session Catalog where you can:

  • Discover sessions tailored to your customer segment (Enterprise, Midmarket, Small Business, Public Sector, or Corporate Accounts)
  • Find sessions targeted to your partner type, customer segment, and business model
  • Focus on the sessions most relevant to your business with streamlined, no-fuss filter options

Be sure to check back often as we add more and more exciting speakers and topics in the months leading up to the event.

In the meantime, to get an idea of what you can look forward to, hear what last year’s attendees had to say about their experience, and then keep reading to learn more about the session content offered this year at WPC:

Insight made easy

Vision Keynotes

These sessions feature senior Microsoft executives such as CEO Satya Nadella and COO Kevin Turner sharing the Microsoft mission and vision for the year ahead and beyond, plus their insights on industry leadership trends you should know about.

General Sessions

Delivered by senior Microsoft executives and other industry leaders, these sessions are tailored to your business segment and partner type.

Specifically, many of our general sessions will discuss ways to find more profitability in the cloud. Through IDC research and discussions with thousands of partners, we’ve identified four pillars of the modern partner that contribute to building a profitable, sustainable cloud business, and these general session speakers will be discussing our findings. Look for an upcoming blog with more details on these sessions.

Breakouts

These sessions will feature either presentations or a panel of experts. You will have the opportunity to hear from successful partners about their journey to profitability and business transformation.

Panels

These sessions involve case studies and a discussion of best practices among a select group of subject matter experts. Look out for a number of panelists covering several of our shared priorities, including transformation.

Workshops

Another opportunity to focus on collaboration, our interactive workshops invite attendees to collaborate to solve business challenges and apply concepts to real-life situations.

The Commons

As the thriving heart of WPC, The Commons features a number of informal opportunities to learn. Expect high-energy, interactive presentations related to community, partner-to-partner, social media, and digital marketing in the Community Hub. Get ready to learn everything from how you can differentiate your brand on social outlets to how to stand out from the competition and gain more leads.

Or, you can explore one of the regional lounges for an informal talk about regional opportunities with Microsoft employees and partner peers. Find even more ways to differentiate your business by learning from exhibitors and sponsors as they showcase new products and solutions built on Microsoft technologies—sometimes with fun prizes for individuals who get involved. You’ll be sure to find a wealth of content covering leadership and all of our shared priorities here in The Commons.

Remember, we’ll be adding new sessions to our content catalog each week to keep you informed of all the exciting sessions and events at WPC 2016, so be sure to check back frequently to see what’s new. Starting in early June, registered attendees will be able to start building their personal session schedules with the Schedule Builder tool on Connect.

If you haven’t already, be sure to register for WPC 2016 before April 21 to receive your all access pass for the reduced price of US$1995.

I look forward to learning with you in Toronto!
