As I mentioned in my last blog, I am starting a new series of blogs focused on the many inspirational stories of Microsoft partners who have successfully transitioned their businesses to the cloud. This week I sat down for a coffee chat with Kevin Conroy, CEO and Founder of Blue Rooster. Kevin and I had a great chat about the wake-up call he had at WPC 2014 about the future of his business. Based on what Kevin heard at the conference, Blue Rooster made a challenging but successful transformation from professional services to SaaS for Office 365, with a 500 percent projected sales growth for its new offering, Rise Foundation.
“Focusing on IP for Office 365 with Rise Foundation has made us more nimble, more agile. I’ve worked for myself for 25 years, and I’ve never been more excited about where my company is going,” said Kevin.
Kevin shared with me the many aspects of the transition his company has gone through over the last year, from the changes in staffing to the way that Blue Rooster is driving customer acquisition. He also shared his excitement for the new opportunities that have opened up for his business as a result of the transformation.
