One of the highlights of Microsoft Inspire is the recognition of the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards winners and finalists. Microsoft partners contribute significantly to our shared success, and this public acknowledgement is one way we show our gratitude.

Get ready to submit your nomination

This year, we’re introducing new Microsoft Partner of the Year Award categories to recognize partners who are accelerating their customers’ digital transformation. These categories honor achievements by application or solution type, for work in the public sector, or for citizenship. In addition, there are approximately 100 Country Partner of the Year Awards.

Last year, we received more than 2,800 nominations, so the competition is formidable. The awards submission tool opens on March 13, but you can prepare by visiting the Partner of the Year Awards page to find resources to help you create the strongest possible submission. Return to the Awards page to submit your application before the April 17 deadline.

Achievement → Recognition → Opportunities

Being a Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards winner or finalist honors your company as a leading provider of Microsoft-based solutions and services and can lead to exciting new business opportunities. Consider the experiences of three of last year’s winners:

10th Magnitude; Hybrid Cloud and Infrastructure Platform Award winner

10th Magnitude was honored for leveraging Microsoft’s hybrid cloud as the driving force of their datacenter transformation practice. By identifying a common theme in their customer cloud transformation opportunities, they were able to develop an Azure migration tool that holistically addressed customer business challenges, both on-premises and in the cloud.

According to Lori Borg, VP of Marketing at 10th Magnitude, receiving the Partner of the Year Award has had tangible business benefits.

“Our status as a Microsoft Partner of the Year vastly differentiates 10th Magnitude in the cloud talent war that we are experiencing across the industry, and has led to strategic relationships with some of the most exciting ISVs doing amazing work with Azure. We could not have built these relationships as quickly as we did without that recognition.”

Qorus Software; Customer Experience Award winner

Qorus sales enablement software empowers sales, marketing, and partner teams to drive sales by discovering, using, and analyzing the best content–all in the familiar world of Microsoft Office. Qorus received the 2017 Customer Experience Award for demonstrating an exceptional ability to manage customer demand and exceed expectations. Their solutions reflect comprehensive market research into customer challenges and lead to a responsive, well-designed customer journey.

Michelle Revsbech, Senior Vice President of Alliances at Qorus, said the awards process was about more than recognition.

“Winning the award last year was a huge honor for Qorus. Creating exceptional customer experiences, and helping our customers do the same, is central to our business. This award confirmed that we are doing it right. I would definitely encourage other organizations to submit an entry. You need to treat it as a project and devote the time needed, but you will also be able to view your customer journey in a new light.”

AvePoint; Public Sector: Microsoft CityNext Award winner

Microsoft and our CityNext partners work together to empower communities to become safer, healthier, better educated, and more sustainable through the use of digital technology. AvePoint received the 2017 CityNext award for AvePoint Citizen Services, an intelligent citizen engagement, case management, and incident reporting solution. Citizen Services is fully built on Microsoft technologies including Azure, Dynamics 365, Power BI, Microsoft AI, Cortana personal assistant, and Windows 10.

Speaking to the value of their award, Dr. Tianyi (TJ) Jiang, Co-Founder and CEO of AvePoint, said:

“We’re still riding high off our recognition as a Microsoft Partner of the Year. As a four-time winner, we’ve realized the benefits both immediately and over the long term. From a partnership perspective, we have front-seat access to Microsoft developments and can weigh in early on in the cycle. From a sales perspective, it is certainly a recognizable badge of honor that strongly resonates with current and potential customers alike. Being a Partner of the Year lends credibility and certifies our applications among the sea of choices for customers.”
