Hello Partners!

I’d like to thank you for attending the 2015 Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando, Florida! For the second straight year, over 15,000 attendees from 135 countries came together to discuss Microsoft’s commitment to partners and how we can further our existing connections to achieve more together.

Here are some of my favorite highlights of WPC 2015:

Day 1

During Monday’s Vision Keynote, we heard from CEO Satya Nadella who reinforced Microsoft’s bold mission: To empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. To accomplish this aim, our focus will shift to the creation of more personal computing, the reinvention of productivity and business processes, and the continued building of the intelligent cloud. We also announced several ways that Microsoft is investing in partners, including the expansion of our Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program and new mobility competencies.

Day 2

On Tuesday, our focus turned to a full day of sessions and networking. Attendees created new connections at the Social Hub and explored an array of product presentations and interactive Customer Immersion Experience (CIE) sessions on the Expo floor. Partners and customers like Fujitsu, Trek, and Godiva shared their stories of partnership in action in the Evidence Area. With many packed sessions, partners dove deep into the latest opportunities for new growth and profitability through Microsoft technology.

Day 3

COO Kevin Turner took the stage during Wednesday’s Vision Keynote, highlighting the disruption in today’s IT industry environment—and the ideal opportunity this presents for partners to innovate and win new business. Additionally, we announced the results of the new IDC Study which showed an incredible 86% of business customers buy through channel partners for IT products and services.

Once again, we had a strong presence and contribution from the IAMCP and WIT communities at WPC. With great events and community meetings throughout the week, these partners continue to inspire through their commitment to constantly improving their communities and strengthening their partnerships.

On Wednesday night, we celebrated with over 11,000 friends and colleagues at the 2015 Partner Celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®. What a fantastic way to celebrate together!

Day 4

On Thursday, partners attended the Regional Sessions to hear from their local Microsoft teams about goals, announcements, and opportunities specific to their locations worldwide. As in previous years, I had the pleasure of speaking with partners from many of the 135 countries represented at this year’s conference, and I continue to be excited with how global collaboration can drive opportunities and profitability.
