For the past sixteen years Microsoft Canada had the privilege of recognizing our local partners for their innovation and partnership with the IMPACT Awards. We love this time of year when we get to acknowledge so many of our partners for all their efforts, who without, we could not be successful.
In addition to the partner self-nominated IMPACT Awards, we’ve created additional categories in an effort to recognize the partners who have been very successful in driving overall growth through the addition of new customers or positioning themselves for future years of growth.
We’d like to recognize partners for the eight award categories outlined below. Partners will not need to submit a nomination for these awards. Partners selected by Microsoft in the categories below will be recognized at our IMPACT Awards Ceremony this year in Las Vegas, Nevada, along with the self-nominated IMPACT Award finalists and winners.
Enterprise IMPACT Sales Award
An Enterprise Partner is a Microsoft partner who has sold into one or more customers that are on the Microsoft Canada identified list, driving transformation in the customer. We’d like to recognize partners who excel in selling into the enterprise space, and who have strong Microsoft Azure and Teams growth due to their net new customer adds.
Regional Cloud Solution Provider IMPACT Award
We’d like to recognize our Regional Services Partner who is a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Direct Reseller or CSP Indirect Reseller focused on Small, Medium and Corporate customer segments in a specific region of Canada (ie: East, Central, West) driving impactful CSP growth.
National Large Solution Provider IMPACT Award
National Large Solution Providers who are Microsoft partners achieving impactful growth in areas such as Cloud Solution Provider, Azure consumed revenue and Teams active usage. They have a direct relationship with Small, Medium and Corporate size customers, and currently scale their business across Canada.
Indirect Cloud Solution Provider IMPACT Award
This award recognizes our indirect providers focused on doing business through their own channel to Small, Medium, and Corporate customers achieving growth in areas such as Cloud Solution Provider, Azure consumed revenue, and Office 365 seat adds.
Data Platform Modernization IMPACT Award
The Data Platform Modernization IMPACT Award recognizes a partner who is helping customers to migrate and/or deploy their data platform solutions to Azure at scale. We are looking at those who are driving net new Azure business of PaaS services and new customer adds. Data Platform Modernization workloads include Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure SQL VMs, and CosmosDB.
ISV IMPACT Sales Award
This award recognizes an Independent Software Vendor with advanced platform adoption (advanced services including at least one of AI, data, Kubernetes, Microsoft Teams, or Dynamics) with Azure growth and who has at least one co-sell win.
Modern Marketing IMPACT Award
The modern marketing award recognizes a partner who is advanced at executing and ROI tracking of Microsoft marketing activities leveraging the Converting Customers-to-Cloud (C3) marketing investments. They excel at developing and delivering campaigns using digital marketing, lead-generation and demonstrate the revenue impact through lead generation.
Tech Intensity IMPACT Award
Equipping the workforce with the skills they need to drive innovation, knowledge and empowerment, as well as position our partners for growth, has been a key focus for Microsoft this past year. We’d like to recognize a partner who has aligned their focus to skilling their employees, and driving new Microsoft certifications in both fundamentals and depth certifications.

Crisis Champion IMPACT Award
This award recognizes a partner who has leveraged Microsoft technology to support customers during the coronavirus outbreak in scenarios such as working remotely, supporting healthcare in the fight against COVID-19, supporting public sector in addressing the needs of our communities, or supporting supply chains or other areas that have an elevated need while we work and live in these challenging times. The partner that stands out will have had a significant impact on people, businesses and/or communities in Canada with quick responses, innovative solutions, and empathy towards those affected. Partners should continue to share their success stories with the Partner Development Managers.
