Announcing the Microsoft Canada Impact Awards for 2022

I’m thrilled to announce that self-nomination awards are now open for this year’s Microsoft Canada Impact Awards. Celebrated annually at Microsoft Inspire, these awards recognize outstanding successes and innovations across Canada and the diverse partner ecosystem. Partners can submit to a variety of categories that help us recognize the innovative technology solutions that our partners have created to address; their customer’s business challenges, recognizing our partner’s hard work of helping customers digitally transform, driving remote solutions, migrating customers to the cloud, skilling their employees, and getting creative with their digital marketing.

Award submission details can be found on the Impact Award Website, outlining the rules, award categories and provide a link to the submission tool.

Additionally, for the second year in a row we will have a mixture of metric-based awards in addition to the traditional partner self-nominated awards. The metric-based awards do not require partners to submit a nomination, saving you time and effort. Microsoft Canada created a process to determine winners based on specific criteria, which is outlined in each award description. These awards allow us to not only recognize more partners for all their efforts over the past year, but also highlight additional Microsoft priorities.

Impact Award finalists and winners receive recognition from Microsoft and the partner community and are celebrated in a variety of ways at Microsoft Inspire. This year’s Microsoft Inspire will again be digital, giving us the incredible opportunity to include partners from around the globe. The event is no-cost for attendees and will be held on July 12 & 13, 2022. Please save the date and look for registration opening in June.

Below you will find further information on Self-Nomination and Metric based awards, as well as helpful resources.

Self-Nomination Based Impact Awards

We have simplified the partners awards to map to business impact and the Microsoft Global (Partner of the Year) Award system;  making it more intuitive to align your nominations.

Within the Impact Award Rules document, you will see that for each award category, we specify which of the Global Inspire Award categories we will be pulling submissions for that award category. When a partner submits a nomination for the Global Inspire Award Category, they will also be entered into the corresponding Canada Impact Award category, as outlined in the rules document.

Submit you nomination to the Microsoft Partner of the Year Submission Tool in advance of the deadline of 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PT), on March 31, 2022. To ensure you create a strong entry, I encourage you to explore the provided resources and expert advice on the Impact Awards Site. We look forward to receiving your nomination and are excited to celebrate another round of incredible partner innovations!
