Congratulations to Australia’s Microsoft Partner of the Year winners and finalists

Microsoft Partner of the year

This year more than ever we need good news – and there’s no better news than the success our partners have had in this year’s Partner of the Year Awards.

The competition for these awards is fierce and the calibre of the 100 nominations we had from local partners was very high. It has to be – there were 3,300 nominations from 115 countries across 42 categories. We’re going to be celebrating the winners at Inspire – which is taking place as a virtual conference for the first time ever.

The impact that each of our winners and finalists has had is truly inspirational and has helped deliver in two months the degree of digital transformation that might typically have taken two years. I can’t stress enough how much we appreciate all the people who work for and with our partners.

Despite the challenges this year has delivered, partners have continued to invest in their people, to develop their capabilities and skills. It’s meant everyone has brought their A-game when it comes to building exceptional solutions for customers.

Working together we have been able to support customers who have had to find new ways of working, new ways to deliver services and products.

We have witnessed amazing outcomes from all your efforts with many customers reporting that Microsoft technologies have actually helped enhance productivity in spite of the difficult circumstances we have all faced, creating connected communities, and paving the way for enduring transformation.

This doesn’t happen by accident. This happens because people work hard to build skills, they invest time to understand what customers need, they are committed to making a difference to their community.

Thanks to all of you for your commitment, your courage and your care.

We have seen examples of people pulling out all the stops, working long nights and over weekends to develop new apps in days; to deploy whole new platforms in weeks – and over the course of just a few months our partners have helped Australian enterprises find a whole new way of working that I expect will persist long after the pandemic abates.

I’d like to now share with you a little more about the winners of this year’s awards.

  • Accenture/Avanade has been named Australian Partner of the Year. The teams at Accenture/Avanade migrated around 50 Government agencies to Azure in six months and created the world’s first multi-tenanted SAP migration to Azure; it has worked with a major Brisbane hospital to help save lives during the pandemic, with its people creating an app in 10 days that helped doctors monitor and treat patients with the virus.
  • Barhead Solutions secured the Global Partner for Social Impact Award for its work with YMCA. In just two days a team from Barhead developed a system that streamlined the way employees at the nonprofit organisation could apply for the Government’s JobKeeper support providing enormous benefits and peace of mind for many many people.
  • This year we also created a new award – the Australia Growth Award that acknowledges the values and achievements that we hope other partners will aspire to as they build their business. The first ever winner of this award is LAB3.

Congratulations to all our winners and also to this year’s Australian finalists – FiveP Australia; Arinco; Wiise Software; Illuminance Solutions; Rhipe; Sensei Project Solutions and Insight Enterprises Australia

These Partner of the Year awards reflect the importance of the work you and your people are doing and the impact that you are having across our community. Working together over the coming 12 months I believe we can build on this year’s success and progress to even greater things.
